On Nov. 13, 2021, Griffon Football soundly defeated Lincoln University in blow out fashion with a final score of 41-12. Six different Griffons got into the endzone on Saturday, while the offense had 450 total yards. Quarterback Reagan Jones had three completions for 39 yards and the remaining 411 yards of offense happened with their run game.  

The Griffon offense scored on their opening drive and then the defense forced Lincoln to punt on the next. The Griffons got the ball nine yards from their own end zone and Lincoln's defense capitalized and ended up sacking Jones in the end zone for a safety.

Griffon defense dominated throughout the first half as their only points were from the safety in the first quarter. The Griffons had a 20-2 lead heading into halftime and scored on their opening drive of the second half to bring the score to 27-2. 

Lincoln ended up scoring their first offensive points late in the third quarter with a 22-yard field goal to bring the score to 27-5. The Griffons answered as they opened up the fourth quarter with back-to-back rushing touchdowns by Jonas Bennett and Travon Harris to bring the score to 41-5.

For the Griffon's offense, Jones led the way with 136 yards on the ground followed by Shen Butler Lawson Jr. with 88 rushing yards and Brandon Hall with 74. Jones found Traveon James in the endzone for the only passing touchdown of the day. 

The Griffons had some standout performances on the defensive side of the ball, with linebacker Evan Chohon matching his career high 18 total tackles and 11 solo. Defensive end CJ Ravenell had his best game statistically this season with nine tackles and 3.5 sacks. 

The two Griff's combined for a strip sack and recovery in the first half. 

The Griffons finished off the 2021 season on a positive note as the win over Lincoln put them one game over .500 and tied for fifth in the MIAA conference.
